Installation Method
Step-by-step guidance for mounting, wiring, and commissioning NOXT dehumidifiers, filter fans, heaters, and temperature controllers inside electrical enclosures. Always follow local electrical codes and the product datasheet for your specific model before energizing the cabinet.
General Installation Steps
Confirm the product model, voltage (AC/DC), rated power, and enclosure volume before opening the cabinet. Check IP rating, mounting orientation limits, and required clearances around the unit for airflow and maintenance access. Mark cable entry points, drain routing (for dehumidifiers), and RS485 wiring paths if remote monitoring is required.
Power off and lock out the cabinet before any work. Clean the mounting area, remove condensation or debris, and verify the internal surface is flat and rigid enough to support the unit. For filter fans, mark and cut the panel opening to the dimensions shown in the datasheet; deburr edges and confirm the gasket will seal properly.
Fix the product using the supplied brackets, screws, or DIN-rail hardware according to the installation drawing. Mount dehumidifiers and heaters in a position that allows condensate to drain downward and does not block air circulation. Filter fans should sit flush against the panel with the filter media facing the airflow direction indicated on the unit.
Wire the supply voltage specified on the nameplate — do not exceed the rated input. Use an appropriately sized fuse or breaker, torque terminal screws to the values in the manual, and connect protective earth where required. For DC models, observe correct polarity. Leave service slack in cables so the unit can be removed without disconnecting other devices.
Route the drain hose continuously downward to a collection point outside the enclosure. Avoid loops or upward bends that can trap water. Keep the hose away from live terminals and moving parts. On first run, check that condensate flows freely and that no moisture collects inside the cabinet near electrical components.
For RS485 Modbus models, connect A/B (and GND if specified) using twisted-pair cable, follow the baud rate and address settings in the datasheet, and terminate the bus at the endpoints if required by your network layout. Thermostats and hygrostats should be wired to the controlled load or sensor inputs as shown in the wiring diagram before applying mains voltage.
Restore power and set the humidity or temperature target according to your application — typically 45–55% RH for general electrical cabinets, or as specified by the equipment OEM. Run the unit for several hours and confirm that humidity or temperature stays within range, airflow is unobstructed, alarms (if any) are clear, and there are no abnormal sounds, odors, or hot spots.
Inspect filters, drain paths, and terminal tightness on a regular schedule defined by the environment — monthly in dusty or coastal sites, less often in clean indoor rooms. Replace filter media when airflow drops or visual clogging appears. Record serial numbers and installation date for warranty and field support.
